The Stamtec SLX double crank frame press was designed for stamping large parts, or parts produced in long progressive dies, that require deeper or more complex forming, at high single stroking rates or in continuous mode, using either blanks or coil stock. The GTX offers an extra wide, centered 6-pt, full length box gib type.
Stamtec’s Link Motion Drive technology is standard on the SLX series. With link motion, the slide velocity decreases by up to 40% during the working portion of the stroke, so the material flows more effectively, while the non-working portion of the stroke increases by an offsetting amount to maintain high production rates. The result is a better quality part at higher production rates. In addition, slower speed through the working stroke reduces die impact, punch penetration, snap-through, noise, and vibration, thereby increasing machine and die life.
Tonnage Range: 176-550 with Link Motion Delivery Time: 20-24 weeks
Stamtec presses can customized by a wider range of SPM, stroke, rating point (BDC), bed and other specifications and dimensions.
With the SLX 2 point press, hydraulic overload protection is standard. As an added benefit, if unequal loading is applied across the slide, the overload system applies full pressure where required to help maintain parallelism.
Fast response hydraulic overload relieves the pressure of a tonnage overload in milliseconds, stopping the press immediately. Hydraulic pressure is restored with the press of a button. Normal operation is resumed after the press is inched to TDC. Your press and dies are effectively protected!
Link motion drive design reduces slide speed in the working stroke by 40%, prolonging tool life and reducing noise and vibration. Keep the same parts per minute production rate with a slower speed when working the material.
