The Stamtec GL1 single point gap frame press with Stamtec’s Link Motion Drive technology was designed for stamping small parts that require deeper or more complex forming, at high single stroking rates or in continuous mode, using either blanks or coil stock. The GL-1 provides link motion technology at a low price, with all the features you expect to find in a world-class press, backed up by a 3-year warranty. Tonnage Range: 88-220 Delivery Time: 18-20 weeks
Stamtec presses can customized by a wider range of SPM, stroke, rating point (BDC), bed and other specifications and dimensions.
Stamtec’s Link Motion Drive technology is standard on the GL1. With link motion, the slide velocity decreases by up to 40% during the working portion of the stroke, so the material flows more effectively. During the non-working portion of the stroke, slide velocity increases by up to 40% thereby maintaining high production rates. The result is a better quality part produced at higher production rates. In addition, slower speed through the working stroke reduces die impact, punch penetration, snap-through, noise, and vibration, thereby increasing machine and die life.
At the same forming velocity, productivity can be increased by 20-40% over conventional presses.
As the graph at the top right shows (GL1 D-Type) the slide velocity slows as it approaches the tonnage rating point by 35%-40% as compared to a convention crankshaft motion.
